Tips On How To Relieve Anxiety
These are just a few tips on how to relieve anxiety from my
perspective. Funnily enough I went from being a pretty laid back person who was top of their game before
anxiety set in. This has since led me to look into the reasons why anxiety started and also how I can use
effective steps to relieve the anxiety before it sets in.
So here are some of my top tips on how to relieve anxiety quickly.
Bear in mind however that most of these items do take time to
master completely.
- Stop worrying abut the anxiety before it happens. You
will know that when you start to feel anxious that you can feel it rising and rising inside of you. Just that
one thought can turn your body into jelly straight away. So push the thoughts to one side and think about
something positive instead. Or something that will make you smile.
- Try not to feed it - when you feel it
coming - don't start the what if's - meaning
-
- What if the anxiety gets worse
- What if I pass out
- What if I cannot deal with
this
- What if I go crazy
- Get yourself a passion - something that you love doing
and that you look forward to. If you have something you can rely on to go and do. Then this will help your mind
become occupied about other things.
- Try building your confidence up bit by bit. Don't expect
to be able to do something straight away without taking very small steps to achieve it. An
example
-
- If you are getting anxiety when you are out
shopping and it really is upsetting you. Then try and go when it is quiet and there are not many people
around. This will adjust you to the situation without having everyone rushing around you. Do this for a
while and then try every now and then going when it is busy.
- If you let the anxiety get on top of you then it is so
much harder to fight the fear at a later date. Best to nip things in the bud before they escalate and take over
you.
- Try not to question yourself - if you are questioning
yourself all the time then subconsciously you are not preparing yourself in a positive manner. So the question
will go around in your head and the what if's will start all over again.
- Laugh and tell yourself that you are just being silly -
remember it is just the little devil on your shoulder telling you the opposite to what you want to
hear.
- You are not alone and should talk to your family and
friends so that they can help you. There is nothing worse than being stuck somewhere and the anxiety is
building and building and you have nowhere to run to. This happened to me when I was having hypnotherapy - I
was having a massive panic attack while the guy was talking to me. My eyes glazed over and all I had was
intrusive thoughts and I didn't even listen to him.
- Never ever give up - keep going and going and be
positive. Look at some inspirational sites on the web to make you smile. Go out with friends and have a laugh.
Do whatever you can to take your mind off things.

The video on the left is a great example of
how anxiety and panic attacks build up in your system. It is from the makers of
Panic
Away and is a really
good watch.
I haven't suffered from anxiety for a long
time now but it did also take me a long time to learn how to deal with anxiety
effectively.
Being a very positive person anyway I was
always shocked at how dramatic these attacks where when they took place.
There is also a newsletter and free report on
my homepage that you can sign up to. If you would like to know more about my story and also some
help to get over panic attacks.
Sometimes it is worth having the view of
someone else even if it is just so you do not feel alone.

It is quite easy to remove yourself from the world when you
suffer from anxiety. I would also say most people do it in silence as well. As they don't feel they can trust
anyone enough to talk about it. Then there are some people who don't want to take the medication and are looking
for natural ways on how to relieve anxiety.
I am here to help anyway and don't forget about the newsletter
on the homepage if you are interested. In the meantime take very good care of yourself Leigh ;-)
