Simple Anxiety Exercises
Okay everyone I am putting these anxiety exercises together
based upon my background and understanding of panic attacks and anxiety. They will probably be a little different
than most that you see because you can find them anywhere and I wanted to give you something different to think
about.

One of the important things about
anxiety is understanding how they start in the first place. Watch the video to the left to get
a feel for this.
Hopefully watching it won't make you
anxious!!!!!!! You see most of know that when the anxiety starts to rise you can feel it pretty
much coming straight away.
Whether it is just a little thought in your
mind or the intensity of the crunching in your stomach. Once you have suffered from anxiety you
will know that it is hard to keep these feelings from building up inside of you.
And that is the start of the battle is
learning to control these problems before they get out of hand.
Most if not all of us when suffering from
anxiety will start to feed it when it is rising. Meaning we give it more flow to make us feel
bad.

So here are my tips for anxiety
exercises you can carry out
- When you feel the anxiety rising do not "feed it" as this
then turns into "what ifs" meaning
-
- you feel the anxiety
rise
- what if if it gets worse
- what if I can't handle
it
- what if I have a heart attack
etc
- The best thing you can do is do something to take your mind off it. Something preferably
that makes you "smile" or laugh. Practice this from the very beginning. Just don't look a nutter laughing
to yourself.
- Learn to breathe properly. You will have noticed that when the anxiety starts you cannot
breathe. Taking large deep slow breathes does and will help. No matter how much your mind is running away
with you - remember to keep breathing.
- Build your confidence slowly. One of the reasons for anxiety attacks coming on is that your
mind or body is not confident about what it is doing. Whether this is walking into a shopping centre,
flying, giving a presentation. So whatever the problem is keep doing it bit by bit until you are
confident that you do not have anything to feed the anxiety with.
- Talk about it to friends and family that you feel comfortable with. It is nothing to feel
embarrased about and you would be surprised how many people suffer with the same thing. The only
difference being that it is "just a thought" to most people but when you are suffering from anxiety you
tend to feed it.
- Try exercising before you do what it is that is making you anxious. This will release the
feel good hormones in your body and allow the mind to relax. Whenever I played football I never had a
panic attacks driving afterwards.
- Deal with the problem. Don't think that it will just go away as it doesn't. Before you know
it the anxiety would have stepped in and stopped you doing lots of things you should be
enjoying.

If you are suffering from Panic, Anxiety Or Intrusive Thoughts
Then You Should Find Out More at their official site http://panicaway.com
I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety for years as I was in
an extremely stressful job and had the job of bringing up the kids as well. You can find out more about me on
the homepage and also my newsletter which helps people like you get over anxiety.
The real problem is keeping your mind focussed on positive things. If you don't your mind will
only tell you what you are feeding it. So if you are bombarding your mind with negative thoughts all the time
then your mind is going to think it needs to be negative because that is what you want.
It is not easy sometimes to find the positives in what we do. To be fair life is so quick
nowadays that all we tend to do is rush around everywhere, without having the time to relax. Carry out the
simple anxiety exercises above and they should help you on your way.
All the best Leigh ;-)
