Anxiety and Fear Of Dying
Anxiety and fear of dying really is quite
common. I know you will be thinking you are mad or going insane and you can't get those horrible thoughts out of
your head.
As we get older however and our
responsibilities increase, anxiety and stress is more likely to jump on
and take a hold of us. Unfortunately the days of going out all the time
and having nothing to do the next day apart from sleep are over.
Most of the people I talk too that have anxiety and fear of
drying are normally over 30 years old and have children. Now I am not saying that they are the only
people that have a fear of dying as they are almost certainly not. Some of them have been smokers who realise
that they are actually destroying their body and therefore they might die early ( me being one of
them).
You might have this fear of dying by seeing
someone in the street who makes you think blimey I don't want to be like that when I am older. Or if you are going
on holiday and think that you could die through a crash on the plane.
What you need to know is that it is not just you
who is having these thoughts. Talk to your friends about it, you would be surprised at how many of them have
similar or recurring thoughts. So you are not mad you are just going through a stage where you are worried about
dying through anxiety and fear.
So how do you overcome anxiety and fear of drying
- If you are worrying about dying then you
are not enjoying your life and this will have repercussions elsewhere.
- Stay positive and push these thoughts out
of your mind the minute that they come in there.
- Keep your mind thinking about all the good things you are going to do today and tomorrow and for the
rest of your life.
- If you are doing something which is
unhealthy then set some goals to try and stop it. So 20 goals on reducing your smokes or 20 goals on how to
reduce your weight. Small simple steps that will help you get healthier.
- Enjoy life we are only here once and you
can spend your time smiling rather than worrying about anxiety and fear of dying.
