Anxiety Attack Relief
|
I hear so many different stories about anxiety attack relief, it is untrue and to be
honest if there was one simple solution for panic attacks relief I would be absolutely made
up. Having suffered with panic attacks and anxiety for years. I can tell you they are not that easy
to contain unless you understand more about them.
You tend to look at panic attacks and wonder where they came from. There are those that
think that it is a medical thing or some sort of history in your family. While to some degree this
maybe true it doesn't help you in managing to get rid of them.
Have a look at the video on the right to understand a little bit more about the process of a
normal panic attack. This will at least let you understand what is actually happening to you.
I was told all sorts by lots of different professionals one of them being, don't be daft
"panic attacks can't kill you" well I am sorry but this sort of thing comes from
someone who has never encountered them and has no idea about anxiety attack relief.
One of the big things people used to say is "just breathe" try calming and
relaxing by breathing. Again this maybe true but when you are suffering from panic attacks the last
thing you are thinking about is breathing. As your heart pumps through your chest and your body
starts melting.

It wasn't until I really started to understand the process of "fight or flight" mechanisms that
I began to understand things properly. These are in fact the bodies natural defences against situations where it
feels threatened.
An example - you walk into a supermarket and all of a sudden the panic attacks come on and all you can think in
your mind are those intrusive thoughts which run away with you. I can't take this, I need to get out of here. This
is the "flight" mechanism kicking in.
Also you might be trying to explain to someone how you feel but they just don't get it. You feel an overwhelming
fear raising in you which increases your anger towards that person. This is the "fight" mechanism
kicking in.
So if you are looking for panic attacks relief it is best to concentrate on getting rid of the intrusive
thoughts you are having which bring on the fight or flight mechanisms. Sounds easy heah but not quite so easy when
you put it into practice.
From my experience Panic Attacks come from Stress. Too much going on, you are rushing around like an idiot
trying to get things done. There is no peace and quiet, you are unhappy at work, your relationship is causing you
problems etc. You know what I mean when you overload your mind then it is not surprising your brain wants to take a
vacation.
Therefore you need to break everything down into small chunks. You cannot all of a sudden tackle everything at
the same time otherwise your brain will just overload again.

Here are some of my anxiety attack relief tips
- Learn to say no - if you have taken too much on put a stop to it and finish what you started.
- If you are not feeling like you are accomplishing anything - make sure everyday you set yourself a goal or
target to achieve. This will make you smile because you have achieved something.
- When struggling at work - if you don't like your job or your boss. Then look at what is annoying you and
concentrate on making it better. It might be that you have got so negative about things that all you have to do
is act a little bit more positively about the situation.
- If your partner is getting on your nerves. Then talk to them about it openly and work together on it. If
you love each other then love should make the agreements for you.
- When the kids are getting on your nerves. Go out into the garden and have 10 minutes peace and quiet and
tell the kids not to disturb you. This will quiet your mind.
